There are many variations of Tae Kwon Do, but we only teach the traditional TKD, the way it was intended to be. We use our craft for defense, not seeking out to fight, and we only use it to hurt someone if there is no alternative.

Master Sam (he is a TKD Master Black Belt), as he is known to his students and staff , is a 6th Dan (out of 10) Degree Black Belt. He became fascinated about Martial Arts 30 years ago and hasn't looked back since. The most valuable thing he has learned from TKD is to be cautious of other folks. When asked what his best advice was that he could give to someone that was considering learning Martial Arts, he simply said, "Take it serious and practice." He is the proud owner of an energetic and loving dog, Marci, a Ball Python, Marty, and 3 Bearded Lizards, Spike, Elizabeth, and Leo.
JOHN WEBSTER, JR:
"Mr. John" is a Poom Belt holder that plans to go as far as he can go, "at least a few Dans" (Black Belt Degrees). He has been studying Taekwondo for about 6 years. As a Marine, he also has 8 years of Mixed Martial Arts training. He became interested in Taekwondo as a way to learn better footwork. The most valuable

His best advice to those considering learning Martial Arts, "Start slow and ask questions!"
SAMUEL TRUITT:
"Instructor Sam", a college student, is currently the proud holder of Koryo, a 1st Dan Degree Black Belt. He wants to learn as much as he can, until he can't go anymore. Tyler received his Black Belt just recently, and he doesn't plan to stop until he's reached at least a 4th Dan Degree Black Belt. Much like his dad, he started studying Taekwondo about 7 years ago. The main difference between the sociable 8th grader from Seaford Middle School, and his dad, is that he wanted to learn how to defend himself and values the self-control that he's learned from TKD. He encourages people to not use Martial Arts as a means to hurt someone unless there's no other option. He's also learned how to safely and effectively use each of the weapons that are taught here at Superkicks.
Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our team of Instructors at Superkicks, Jaxson. Jaxson is Black Belt, working towards his 1st Dan and planning to go as far as he can. He has been learning TKD for about 7 years and is a Sophomore at Laurel High School. He values most learning to always be at least 1 step ahead.
WYATT GERMAN:
Wyatt has been learning TKD for about 5 years. He became interested in TKD when his mom saw the school's page on Facebook. Wyatt has been learning TKD for about 5 years. He became interested in TKD when his mom saw the school's page on Facebook. He is a fun-loving 6th grader at Laurel Elementary School, that tries to encourage his students to do their best and participate. He has currently earned his Red Belt and hopes to some day become a Jr. Black Belt or higher. His favorite part about learning TKD is how to defend and control himself.
LINCOLN HOMNICK:
Lincoln is another of our Assistant Instructors. He is currently a Poom Belt, which is the level his brother reached. He wants to pass him, and at least become a Black Belt. His brother is what first interested Lincoln in Taekwondo, and he enjoys learning to defend himself. He is a 5th grade student at Central Elementary

GARY CALLAWAY:
"Mr Gary" does after-school pick-ups for us on Tuesday and Thursday, when Instructor Sam is in class.
THESE RULES APPLY TO ALL CLASSES OR SCHOOL SPONSORED FUNCTIONS!
We take students from age 4 -- 99+. Classes are Monday -- Wednesday, 6 -- 7 pm
We offer each perspective student 2 free classes to get an idea of what can be expected of both the students and the Instructors. Parents of students are welcome to observe. We ask that the student wear something loose fitting and comfortable for the trial classes so that they are able to move freely.
These classes are only offered twice a year, Spring and Fall. Uniforms for Weapons classes are $75 and are different than the regular white uniforms. Weapons can be purchased at an additional charge. The classes are held from 6 -- 7pm on Thursday evenings, for 8 weeks.
CALL ABOUT OUR PRICES. MS. TIA WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP YOU. BETTER YET, COME SEE US. WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU!
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
1. Many of the other Martial Arts focus on Offensive moves, while TKD strives to focus on Defensive moves.
2. TKD is more foot movements and less hand movements instead of less foot work and more hand work.
It varies from student to student. The more classes you attend, the more you practice, and the more you pay attention and do as you're told, the faster you will advance. It takes a minimum of 300 classes/30 months to reach Jr. Black Belt. Then the real work starts. There are 10 Dan Degrees of Black Belts, and each one typically takes longer than the one before it, but the end result is worth the effort.
We strongly encourage perspective students to take advantage of the 2 free trial classes. Once you have decided that this is what you want to do and you (or parent/guardian of minors) sign the contract, you usually will get it that day, unless we have to order it. We usually have most sizes in stock.
